Our organizers are also interested in career
expansion. For example, we will encourage
participants in various avenues of
self-promotion. Discuss career areas
illustrators may approach for freelance
work.
We will explore editors, publishers, query letters, &
networking.
Bring 3 pieces with reference materials to
be critiqued. Book dummies and portfolios
are also welcome

group is for those who write for younger children:
picture books, easy readers, chapter books,
middle-grade, poetry, or magazines stories or
articles for younger kids, fiction or nonfiction.
SCBWI membership is encouraged, but not required. We
critique with encouragement and support.
Bring several copies of 5-6 pages (double-spaced) of a manuscript
you are working on.

WEST PALM BEACH (SCBWI)
